Yoga is the ancient
science of the Hindus. It was brought down to India by the Aryans in the form of
the Vedas and eventually compiled into the yoga sutras by Maharishi
Patanjali in 2000 BC. Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Yukt’ which
means to Yoke or to Join. The study of Yoga and its Philosophy can be
applied to all aspects of our lives.
Kripa Yoga is the
brain child of Swami Kripananda and it is a culmination of 25 years of
ardent study and practice by its founder Swami Kripananda. It is a modern day
version of the Science of Yoga which addresses our present day needs and
accommodates the present day lifestyle into the ancient practices of the
Himalayan Yogi’s.
Kripa Yoga has the
ideal approach for resolving existing concerns of time and practice in
an ever too busy life style. It is effective for CEO’s as well as
advanced practitioners of the art of yoga and focuses on the inner
dynamics of yoga posturing. Yoga exercises need not be practiced in a
yoga studio, says swamiji, “you can use any place and time for your yoga
practice. In the wild outdoors the tree and landscapes can be used as
props for yoga posturing and indoors the furniture and the walls can
play a very important part in your practices.
Swami Kripananda has
been studying yoga and meditation for nearly 25 years. Much traveled and
greatly loved by his followers, Swami Kripananda is a healer of
extraordinary abilities. His meditation workshops and retreats are
guaranteed to leave participants with a profound experience of the other
side.
Accredited by
Psychics and Mediums alike, Swamiji transports his audience into a whole
new world of paranormal experience... into what he calls a "parallel
world of existence".
A mere touch on the forehead by the visiting Swami will send people
into a deep trance. Many end up lying sprawled on the floor, transported
into a whole new world of consciousness. Photographs taken during this
process tend to show the manifestation of orbs. Some of these orbs even
have faces and/or symbols embedded in them.
Swami Kripananda
started training with the legendary Yoga Teacher
Mr. B.K.S Iyengar in 1983.
He was initiated into the Science of Shaktipat Meditation by His
Holiness
Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj
of the Tirtha lineage in the same year. He received his second
initiation from His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar
Swami Arjun Puri Maharaj
in 2005. He left India for his travels abroad in 1998.
He
presently lives on the West Coast of the United States.
